Volley damage assumes all three flames connect — worth remembering, because on Brasa that assumption is doing a lot of work. Reach is how far a flame travels before it burns out.
Brasa is the closest thing Arena Blast has to a melee fighter. Three flames every 0.33 seconds at 11 damage each means a volley that fully connects is 33 — call it 100 damage a second, more than anyone else on the roster, Bolt's triple burst (93) and Frost's four-shot fan (88) included. Her flames also burn out sooner than everybody's except Tanko's shotgun pellets. The whole fighter is a bet that you can cross open ground without dying.
That bet is why she sits in B tier rather than A. She wins the moment she is standing on top of somebody and loses every second spent walking towards them: the approach is the skill, the shooting is the payoff.
The three flames leave in a cone roughly 25 degrees wide. At contact distance all three bury themselves in the same body; near the edge of her reach the side flames drift past a target either way and you land 11 a shot instead of 33. Her useful damage range is about half of what the reach stat implies, so the number that decides her matches is not damage — it is 250 speed.
Spend it properly. Walk the wall, not the open lane; sit in a bush and let somebody stroll past; hold fire until the whole volley can land, because early shots chip for nothing and announce where you are. If a fight opens at range and you cannot close it, leave.
The meter fills from damage you deal, not damage you soak: every 100 points you land fills nearly half the bar, plus 15% per knockout. On Brasa that is about seven fully-connecting volleys — land only the middle flame and you need three times as many shots.
Do not hoard it to finish one enemy. A lone target eats a flame or two, and Rocco's Bombardment or Nia's Piercing Shot beats it on a single head. Fire Nova pays when bodies are stacked: a Horde wave bunched behind you, the final ring in Royale. The lunge is short — far shorter than Sombra's Shadow Charge — so aim it as a step into a group, never as an escape.
She is a nightmare for the fighters built to shoot from distance. Nia dies in three volleys once Brasa is inside her guard and needs three of her own 0.8-second shots to answer. Rocco folds in four, and his heavy projectiles are the easiest in the game to strafe. Medika's regeneration cannot keep pace with 100 damage a second. Frost is the awkward one: she out-ranges Brasa and the shield off Frost Ring blunts the exact volley meant to kill her.
450 coins, or 90 gems — gems cost the same for every fighter, so spending them on an expensive one is the better trade. She is also free at account level 30 on the Reward Road, and her three alternate colourways run 80, 140 and 150 coins. Take her into Training and find the exact distance where the outer flames start missing a stationary bot. That distance is the whole fighter.
