The hardest shell in the arena, bolted to the second-slowest pair of legs

Reach in the table is bullet speed times how long the shell stays in the air. With a single projectile per trigger pull, Rocco's per-shot and per-volley damage are the same 37.
Rocco hits harder than anything else in Arena Blast. 37 damage on one shell, a point above Nia's 36, and unlike Nia he has 130 HP standing behind it โ second only to Tanko's 165, and 22.5 clear of the roster's 107.5 mean. Read those two lines together and you have the best pure duellist in the game, which in Tournament is exactly what he is.
The bill arrives everywhere else. 195 speed makes him the second-slowest fighter alive; only Tanko at 185 is heavier-footed. And his damage per second is about 46 โ second-lowest in the roster, ahead of only Nia. Rocco does not grind people down. He removes a third of a health bar and then has 0.8 seconds of nothing to offer, and how you spend that silence decides the match.
His reach of roughly 476 units is the longest in the game after Nia's 810, and it does not come from a fast projectile. It comes from a slow one that stays alive a long time: the shell travels at 560, second-sluggishest after Tanko's 540, and survives 0.85 seconds. A Zippy at 300 speed covers 255 units โ five body-widths sideways โ while your shot is still in the air. That explains nearly every Rocco loss: he misses because he aimed where the enemy was. Shoot the ground they are walking toward, never at somebody who just changed direction.
One projectile also means no consolation prize for a near miss, and nobody in the roster dies to two shells: 74 damage leaves even Zippy on 6 HP. Two energy cubes fix that, since each adds 2 damage โ at 41 a shell, two hits come to 82. Cubes are worth the walk anyway, adding 8 to your maximum health and healing 25 on pickup.
The bar climbs on output alone: about 45 points of charge for every 100 damage you land, and a flat 15 whenever you finish somebody off. Rocco's arithmetic here is quietly cruel: six clean 37s add up to 99.9. You need a seventh shell โ or one kill โ to round it off, and at 0.8 seconds a shot that is a long time to go without missing.
Spend it at medium range rather than long. Inside about three-quarters of its travel the shells are still tight enough for one body to catch two; at the far edge they have spread past a fighter's width and you fire five to land one. Grab a rage power-up first if one is lying around โ 6 seconds at 1.5x damage turns five 45s into five 67s โ and note that Bombardment scales harder on cubes than your basic attack, gaining 3 per cube on every projectile.
Tournament is his outright. Three 1v1 rounds, no third parties, no objective dragging you out of position โ just a duel where you hold the biggest hit and the second-biggest health bar. Bait the opponent's Super, sidestep it, then punish the window. Battle and Royale suit him for the opposite reason: the storm does the moving for him. Sit at the safe edge with a wall behind you and shoot people running in a straight line, because a player fleeing a closing circle is the easiest target Rocco will ever be offered.
Avoid the modes that make him walk. King of the Hill parks you inside a small ring, exactly where your range advantage stops existing and quicker fighters get to sit on top of you. Gem Rush is worse: the carrier gets chased, and at 195 speed you are the easiest thing in the arena to run down. Horde asks you to kite an endless wave with a single-shot weapon on a 0.8-second timer, and Medika or Bolt will do it better.
Nia is the fight everybody misreads. She out-ranges you by more than 300 units, so on paper you lose โ but you both fire every 0.8 seconds, you need three shells to finish her 85 HP, and she needs four to chew through your 130. In a clean exchange where nobody misses, you win by exactly one shot. Don't back away from Nia; back away from her cover.
Medika is a race against her regeneration, not her health bar. Four shells kill 115 HP and take 2.4 seconds to deliver, while her healing restarts 2.5 seconds after the last hit lands. Two misses in a row and you are still inside the window; three and she is recovering 26 HP a second and the whole exchange never happened.
Tanko is a patience test โ 165 HP means five shells, and a 10-point speed edge is not enough to kite anyone. Win it with geometry, because inside his 243-unit range his 50-damage volley beats your 37. Zippy and Sombra are simply losses: both close faster than your shells fly, and your only outs are a reactive Bombardment, whose fan is wide enough to clip a dash, and a teammate willing to peel.
Rocco arrives fifth along the Reward Road and costs nothing once you reach player level 12; the shop sells him for 350 coins if you would rather skip the wait. Four skins: Classic, Camo at 70 coins, Golden at 130 and Ice at 150.
